Brian G. Vaught joined the EGCC in September of 2006. He holds both an MA and ABJ in Journalism & Mass Communication from The University of Georgia. More recently, Vaught has become a Doctoral Candidate at Florida Atlantic University where he taught in the Communications Department on a three-year fellowship and as an adjunct faculty member while focusing his own research on Media Studies. He has presented original articles on topics such as social inequality and political dissent in mass media at conferences across the country. His most recent publication, “There is No Why,” was featured in Studies in Symbolic Interaction.
Before joining the EGCC, Vaught worked for St. Saviour Foundation as Communications & Outreach Coordinator, as well as The Peabody Awards, The Office of Instructional Support & Design at UGA, and as a successful freelance artist and writer.
