Marilyn A. Hill became Director of Operations and Programs for the East Georgia Cancer Coalition in 2002 after retiring from her position as Vice President of Community Care Services at St. Mary's Healthcare System in Athens, GA. During her career in nursing, Hill also served as Vice President of Ancillary Patient Care Services, Clinical Director of Nursing, and Head Nurse in several units including Medical Oncology, Chemotherapy, and Neurosurgical Intensive Care.
A nurse for over thirty years, Hill holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the College of St. Francis and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, as well as having graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing.
During her extensive career, Hill has given countless guest lectures at numerous universities, including The University of Texas and The University of Georgia, served as a Chief Nurse for the 1996 Olympics, and even hosted the Classic Clinic Radio Show from 1997 to 2000.
